Project ToolsProject Info
In the early 1990's a loose-knit group of like minded outsiders found common ground at a little NYC storefront gallery. Rooted in the DIY subcultures of skateboarding, surf, punk, hip hop & graffiti, they made art that reflected the lifestyles they led.

Over the past ten years this group, and the subcultures they sprang from, have become part of the most influential cultural movement of our generation. Beautiful Losers celebrates the spirit behind this movement as it explores the creative ethos connecting these artists and today's youth.

Featuring Ed Templeton, Margaret Kilgallen, Barry McGee, Jo Jackson, Chris Johanson, Geoff McFetridge, Mike Mills, Stephen Powers, Harmony Korine, Thomas Campbell & more...

Directed by Aaron Rose.  Edited by Lenny Mesina & Fernando Villena.
Cinematography by Tobin Yelland.  Original Score by Money Mark.

Status:  SUMMER 2008 - Theatrical Release

Cool, I now know that every time a stupid jock yelled "skate or die" or "fag" back in the day it just strengthened our resolve that much more to be as different and outrageous as possible. Can't wait to see this film, looks great!
