The client needed an identity for a hockey gear clothing company. I was shown a few references to base my design off of of existing hockey clothing stores all of which had a similar design.
I decided to try and branch out to create something unique but not entirely abandoning the clients chosen references. The name of the company "BarDown" has an exclusive meaning to hockey fans. It is when the player shoots the puck, it hits the cross bar with a distinctive "PING!", and goes in the net.

Communicating such an exclusive meaning was difficult but I kept in mind the ultimate goal of the project as a clothing company and tried to simplify my ideas to achieve something that had a simplicity to be able to be used on clothing, in websites, on hats or whatever the apparel, but still spoke to hockey fans in a meaningful way. The second objective was to also create an eCommerce site displaying the clothes and the branding which I am currently working on. COMING SOON!
