BALBLAIR - SCOTH WHISKEY PACKAGING
Balblair is an old and very prestigious Scottish whiskey brand. This is a concept for a restyling of the actual packaging.
I have made a modernization of the current design, but keeping the brand identity.
The structural design of the bottle has small differences from the previous one, such as
details in aluminum at the bottom and upper part.
Another important objective was to give a strong national identity to the brand.
When we talk about whiskey, we have to talk about Scotland. Despite of the high
quality of whiskeys produced in other countries, such as Ireland, Canada or Japan, this drink is a national symbol of Scotland.
Another Scottish national symbol are the famous kilts, immortalized by Mel Gibson
in the film Braveheart.
I propose the use of unique, innovative and interesting fabric labels, made in wool, with the Scottish traditional pattern on the bottle. The wool gives to the product a very premium and high quality look.
I have tried to provide a different experience to the consumers, to feel a bit of Scotland, from opening the bottle to tasting the whiskey.
