"KOLO" ARCHITECTURE COMPETITION
Public convinience on Hel's beach
2006

Main project purpose was creating entrance area to the beach. Projected
object is broken on 3 pieces so as not to block communication for walkers from street to beach and inversely. Functional zoning come out of place seasonality. Year-long part is located off the street. Summer-long part, witch is turn to the beach, arise through resolved mobile wood panels we can hide in winter-long part to building rear wall. This wall is also showers wall. Showers and dressing rooms zone unite with large wood terrace compose nice stop on the way to the beach. Construction compose steel frames.

Designed toilet is located by trail to the Sea Eye Lake, witch is all coming to the Tatra Mountains tourist's hike destination. Ground by Mickiewicz Waterfalls is a natural stop on trails cross. Our object is creating indispensable infrastucture for this place. The main idea was a homogeneous shape form, witch concentrate two different functions: toilet and place to seat. In result we recieved a twisted "ribbon" witch begin from the road and next switch to traditional and regional toilet's building shape.

Tatra Mountains National Park is one of the most beautiful places of Poland. Beauty spot Sea Eye Lake, Mickewicz Waterfalls surroundings, makes those places most visited by tourists. This projekt is a trail to find homogeneous architectural expression for all Park area buildings. With this end in view we designed opportunely different segments, witch we can put together in differnt configurations. In this way we get a minimal size toilet (2 segments) or big toilet's complex (unlimited segments quantity) or place to seat.
