Aludd - part 1

Aludd: Max-o-matic´s solo show at Duduá Gallery, Barcelona.

(ENG): Alud, the spanish Word for a mud avlanche, is a large mass of material moving rapidly and razing whatever it finds it its way and re-arranging the landscape in a new way… sometimes nice, sometimes creepy. Aludd is bringing Ned Ludd, the leader of the artisans in the early nineteenth century destroyed machines in the first years of the Industrial Revolution, back to life. Aludd is a direct attack to our perceptions schemes. Aludd is Max-o-matic´sfirst solo show featuring his most recent work. Aludd will take place in one of his most beloved galleries: Duduá. Opening: march 7th, 2008. 20h @ Duduá. 
Duduá is located in Barcelona´s Born quarter, in 6, Rossic st. Tel. (+34) 93 315 04 01. The galery/shop opens from tuesday to thursday from 16.30 to 20.30 and Fidays and Saturdays from 11 to 14 and from 17 to 21.

(ESP): Alud es una gran fuerza que arrasa todo lo que encuentra a su paso y lo reordena de un modo aleatorio, muchas veces aterrador y otras tantas maravilloso. A Ludd es el canto a Ned Ludd, líder de los destructores de máquinas surgidos en los albores de la revolución industrial del siglo XVIII. Aludd es un ataque directo (a máquinas, naturaleza, esquemas, resquemores) que destruye y reconfigura nuestra percepción generando un paisaje nuevo e intrigante. Aludd también es una exposición de todo lo que Max-o-matic ha producido en estos últimos tiempos y va a colgar en uno de sus reductos favoritos, Duduá. Inaugura el 7 de marzo de 2008 a las 20 h. en Duduá, Rossic, 6 08003, Barcelona.
