A new name, brand and website that communicates in simple, human terms,
a revolutionary technical innovation.


Technology in
novation company 42 Objects Ltd have developed a radical new approach to complex data management. Backed by 3i and with a growing interest from global financial backers and blue chip clients, 42 Objects required a new brand identity and marketing material to help secure future funding and new business deals.

Close communication with the client and our technical and strategic partner Seeper enabled a
detailed understanding of the company. During this process, we recognised an opportunity to develop a new brand name that would underpin a complete communication strategy. We proposed a new name, 42SBS. The name was unique and memorable, but also a powerful descriptor of the
42 offering as an acronym for a new strap-line, Solutions Business Science.


Using the intelligent application of colour, typography and illustration, this insight assisted the successful communication of the company’s offering and proposition online and in print.

The new name, brand and website have been enthusiastically received internally and externally and 42SBS have succeeded in securing further funding from 3i plus increasing interest from other high-profile international investors.

The website (shown) was a key marketing tool and a platform for the launch of the new brand.

Building on the naming strategy, we created a step-by-step presentation to explain how the offering could benefit the identified target audiences in a way appropriate to them; Solutions (for operational managers); Business (for the board of directors); or Science (for the academics).

Each of the three ‘strands’ of the presentation related to one of the identified audience groups and it’s correlating colour, derived from the branding strategy.

A suite of visualisations was created to reinforce understanding and dramatise each step of the online presentation.
