My mom, Margaret ("Maggie"), has been my role model for as long as I can remember. In 2007 when she turned 50, she finally decided to become a licensed driver and attempted to go back to school to study Esthetics in order to enter the Spa business and have a chance at a more promising future in America. She was my subject for some film photography projects and the rest are
candid shots from travels to California and New York local spots near
Far Rockaway.
She is very lively, intelligent, healthy and astonishingly confident in her perserverence.
She seems to live in eternal time where the end is not even nigh, it's almost an impossibile idea to her way of living.
