Gabriel Shalom (US/UK) is an artist living and working in Berlin, Germany. His practice combines elements of experimental cinema, video art and musique concrète. He explores the hidden musicality in everyday objects, instruments and situations, using music as a vehicle for the transformation of the mundane into transcendent compositions and patterns.

As a director/composer, he has been commissioned by brands such as MINI, Sephora, Sony and BMW Italy. He is a member of the ADC Young Guns class of 2012 and a fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar.

In addition to his audiovisual work, Gabriel is a director of experimental narratives. Together with Patrizia Kommerell he founded KS12, a studio for experimental storytelling. KS12 collaborates with events, agencies, and organizations, such as Transmediale, STRP Eindhoven, British Council, BOX 1824 and Meiré und Meiré. KS12 were artists in residence at the Frankfurter Kunstverein / NODE Forum for Digital Arts in 2013. KS12 was a studio in residence at the Portland Incubator Experiment at Wieden + Kennedy in 2012.
