“ I get a tremendous buzz from seeing a great picture on my Canon’s screen. It’s still the same thrill I experienced seeing a negative or transparency 30-odd years ago. Nothing changes over the years; the sense of personal satisfaction I get when a shot pleases me is still there”.
David is in his fourth decade as a professional photographer. You may not be familiar with the name, but you will almost certainly be familiar with his work.
Throughout a quarter of a century, David and his camera have created some of the most iconic images seen in the nation’s popular newspapers and magazines.
Joy, tears, love, victory, defeat, the bizarre and the breathtaking, David has photographed them all.
A lifetime of special pictures, by a man whose eye for “capturing the moment” means that what is presented is often so much more than simply a picture, but rather a pause button on life, encompassing all the emotion, all the passion, all the true significance of that precise moment in time when the shutter clicked.
Half a second earlier, or half a second later, a few inches to the left or right, and the moment, the image is lost.
Timing, eye, skill, sixth sense or perhaps just good luck, whatever it is and whatever you call it, David has it.
