I'm an italian illustrator, graphic designer and fabric designer working in Parma, Italy at Kreativehouse studio. Here I try to keep calm and have good ideas. I also do workshops for kids and designers.
I am born in 1979.

I love design, minimalism and modernism.
My childhood was an interesting balance of lonelyness and mad chaotic fantasies, so I love to experiment with illustration techniques, patterns, abstract design, colours and graphic. I paint my childwood feelings, trying to walk the line between kitsch, minimalism, and pure feelings.
I draw disturbing images, made with affection, cuddles and shards of broken glass.

Ever since I was a teenager I have been fas­ci­nated by the ephemeral nature of the Nature. What starts out as vision soon becomes debased into a tragedy of greed, leav­ing only a sense of deca­dence and the prospect of a new under­stand­ing.
With influ­ences as diverse as Aubrey Beard­s­ley, computer graphic, Lib­erty and Deco, new com­bi­na­tions are crafted from both explicit and implicit lay­ers. Read Less

The illustrations start off as a pencil sketch that when finished are scanned into the computer. Here Cristian colours his work using a combination of different patterns and textures, of which he holds a bank of examples. The use of texture gives the illustration a natural almost surreale feel.

Cristian originated from Italy where early on in life he discovered his love for drawing and creating his wonderful dream worlds.
Since then he has explored a wide range of different art mediums and has now developed a unique style using computer graphic.
Cristian is happy to create different kinds of illustrations with unique styles and themes.
His inspirations and interests – like rare old Liberty signs – help inform him elegantly nostalgic style.

Cristian enjoys focusing on the creation of fashion design, using traditional and modern media, pencil and watercolour + computer graphic to create texture and light within his enchanting illustrations.

He also loves children's book, editorial and publishing and always enjoys developing his own style. He also runs his own small exhibition space in Salsomaggiore and Parma. Read Less
