Hadacol was a cough syrup invented by Louisiana politician Dudley LeBlanc. It was mostly alcohol- they served it by the shot in dry towns during prohibition. "Hadacol Christmas" is about my grandfather, Garland, as Santa Claus inventing Christmas with a belly full of cough syrup and a head full of dying crows.
