"J'adore Paris!"
This
phrase is typically followed by a romantic swoon. As one cliché goes, Paris is
the most romantic city in the world. While this is arguable, the fact lies that
Paris is one of the most visited cities in the world (or indeed the most). This
simply translates to having a scarily high number of tourists.
And, this truth has a strong hand
in the conception of this photo series. How could one take pictures of Paris with
as minimal number of tourists in the pictures as possible? How does one avoid
presenting the clichés of this magnificent city in his or her photographs?
9 A.M. is the cutoff time for the following
photographs. It is when the sun's morning glory starts to wane, and when the
tourist flock starts to appear.... or so one thinks.
