Online Marketing Specialist / Web Designer
Description
A full-time position is available for an individual seeking a career in the field of
online marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing
websites, graphics and other online marketing materials. Ideal candidates will
have good balance of skills in web development, visual design and
communication skills. Applicants should provide portfolios of work in design or
writing if available. Applicants must be organized, responsible and self-directed.
Job Responsibilities
• Visual design for websites, web graphics, and other online media
• Translating visual designs into websites
• Maintaining and updating websites
• Compilation of online marketing research, specifically in search
optimization
• Compilation of various documentation, reports and marketing materials for
staff and clients.
• Providing customer support by properly directing and escalating requests
Skills and requirements:
• Skilled with graphic and web design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator)
o Experience and education in graphic and web design preferred
• Knowledgeable in basic web development (HTML, CSS)
o Experience with web programming technologies (Flash, Ajax, PHP,
etc) an asset
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
o Background in communications and writing an asset
• Experience with developing search optimized content or websites an asset
