Aside from the fact that we design because we love it, why do we do it? I do love doing logo design by the way, but currently I do it because I REALLY need the money. Don't we all? I have too many life issues and 2 mouths to feed, so I just took my natural talent and eye, and tried to apply it to a money making idea. I'm not the only one trying to pay for things here, but I mean, the money I can pull in from freelance work really helps. The only problem I have is the lack of a guarantee to actually get paid.

I do those contests/projects in the form of spec. work, so I don't really feel like a freelancer. Maybe some advice would help? Any suggestions?
