As you know its quite hard to find quality books about the editorial/magazine design world. I´ve spent a lot of money on them, but just a few deserve it.

The Art Directors' Handbook of Professional Magazine Design.
This book is more picture driven. Good for inspiration.

Very complete book that talks about all the process of magazine making from a simple but complete point of view. Lots of interviews and case studies. perfect for beginers and no-so-beginers.
