PS, here's the SPEC for Zend_Amf. After working with it, I found the class listings and sample code to be dated, but you'll get the idea:

Zend and Adobe recently "partnered" up (and by that I mean they both "like" Wade Arnold's AMFPHP ;)) and Zend Framework now has a AMF implementation (it's in the standard library as of yesterday but not in a release yet). I've been writing some remote services with them because we had a case where an AIR app needed faster data transfer.

Anyway, I'd like to start a discussion re: Flex, PHP, pretty much anything ;) These boards are barren!
