Formerly known as R.U.A., BlakBlok is a group of two portuguese ilustrators founded in 2003, and their work express the need of materializing the way they see and interpret their surrounding means: the City. With a passion for american comics and european bande dessinée - their biggest influences -, combined with a strong urban inspiration, in wich they try to create surreal portraits of urban and suburban spaces, picturing the underground world and looking for the beauty present in abandoned and degraded spaces, always with a touch of humour. BlakBlok's work as been featured in projects like Red Bull Street Gallery 2008, Red Bull ArtB_nker 2008, MusaBook, MusaTour 2006, Belio Magazine, LeCool Magazine, and has clients such as Ford or SuperBock beer brand.
