I live in Nairobi, Kenya where I work as an creative/art director running my small design and copywriting company and I'm very interested in Industrial design and the network of such designers in Behance.

In Kenya we have unique needs. Needs that require the skills of designers more importantly industrial designers. We lack industrial design knowledge so it would be a huge contribution to receive ideas and even expertise especially from industrial designers all over the world.

One need that at this moment is paramount in Kenya is helping ensure the safety of people from the hazards of overturned petrol/gasoline tankers carrying thousands of liters of petrol for transit on our roads.

I believe this is not only a Kenyan problem. Look up on you tube or Google on news stories of people torched to death in Kenya from gasoline after scrambling for fuel from overturned tankers. These incidents in Kenya are on the rise and we need to do something about it.

I want to start a campaign that will bring together Industrial Designers that will help build safer petroleum tankers that keep safe their flammable contents regardless of an accident.
All ideas and contributions are welcome and Industrial designers are specifically encouraged to join and help build safer tankers through a creative approach, either double hulls, safe locking mechanisms that prevent spillage etc.

This is a huge challenge, one that requires commitment and time and I am willing to put this is because I believe this will save countless of lives and even save the petroleum companies money in the long run. Anyone out there who can help give ideas and work together to put this campaign on its feet, Please join.
