Chris Brewer is an Illustrator/designer who specializes in graphic apparel design as well as character-based illustrations. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Utah in 2006 and from that time has not ceased to find new areas within the commercial world that require his expertise. His strong artistic foundation and natural skill have made it possible for him to straddle a large number of aesthetic genres ranging from apparel design to book covers to video game concept art.
Chris is recognized among those who are familiar with his entire body of work as being strikingly versatile. This characteristic stems from an unhinged inquisitive personality that has carried over to his art in the form of diverse styles and artistic explorations. He has always enjoyed having his hands in several different projects that challenge his skill and stretch his abilities.
A strong underlying theme of Chris’ work is people. He is interested in the stories and narratives that shape personalities and the caricatures that sometimes immerge. There is a strong sense of human emotion, if not just simple joy, that comes through his work. Both men, women, old and young have all found elements within Chris’ work to which they are drawn and can relate.
Some of Chris Brewer’s clients include companies such as Del Sol, the world’s leading producer of color-changing apparel. Through his partnership with Del Sol Chris has designed for and earned the privilege of visually representing businesses such as Corona, Disney, Universal Studios, Kiss, The NFL Players association, The Calgary Stampede, and the Hard Rock Café. He has also contributed over 100 designs to Del Sol’s beachwear catalogue (many of which have become record top sellers). Chris is requested by name among store owners who have experienced great success through his contributions to their clothing line.
Chris has also partnered with Zagg Inc. A distributer of electronics and creator of the Invisishield. In under a year he has submitted over 300 Zaggskin designs and continues to be the top-selling contributor on the site. Through his relationship with Zagg Chris has also been given the opportunity to impress celebrities such as Richard Branson and Martha Stewart with custom skin designs for their personal cell phones. Many of Chris’ designs were featured on a segment of the Martha Stewart Living television program. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfJtj_ns1ME). Read Less
