DESIGN IS POWER.
Design is a cultural catalyst that I get to wield. Honestly, its kind of a rush to elicit a response from an unsuspecting viewer. As a designer, I have the ability to make things happen, open people’s minds to new ideas, communicate with society on the most basic levels as well as the most conceptual ones. To master this power, I have to constantly push myself to study people, study their likes and dislikes, and to understand what motivates them in their life decisions. A good designer must observe human nature in order to try to manipulate it. In my work, I am always striving to re-contextualize the familiar in order to make people think about themselves and the world around them in a new way. Read Less
