My name is Carolanne Jardine and I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1974. I have always had a passion for drawing and sketching ever since I could hold a pencil. I work in chalk pastel and my sketches are a mixture of figurative pieces which are heavily influenced by my love of Edinburgh and its surrounding scenery as well as interesting musical and dance portraits. I am particularly interested in exploring the effects of light and shadow on skin and water within these themes.
