Rasterpoint is an independent visual solutions provider for the advertising, media and entertainment industries, offering cutting-edge work at the convergence of design, filmmaking, animation and photography.
Established in 1996, the company develops a large range of projects, by itself or by bringing together the people and companies that can deliver the best results, in the benefit of the projects and their initiators.
The company has crafted along the years hundreds of projects, which proved innovative for the industry, memorable for the audience and efficient for the clients.
Camil Tulcan is the founder and general manager of Rasterpoint and one of the pioneers in TV branding on the Romanian market. His work spans several different styles, from minimal to urban, can be delicate or powerful, and has its roots in the most culturally diverse references, from anime and manga to Bjork’s experiments.
His ability to be cross-disciplinary and use all forms of motion solutions, from animated hand-drawn typography to video art, graphics and 3D, has lead to bold and memorable results along the last 15 years. His strength is the ability to understand the marketing and branding agenda of a client and innovatively translate it into top-notch, masterfully refined solutions.
Camil has created or revamped several Romanian and international TV identity platforms, notably ProTV, Prima, B1, Realitatea, Romantica and the national TV station TVR. He has contributed with his work to hundreds of large- and small-scale advertising and branding projects or artistic ventures for clients in media, internet, telecom, education, music and film.
Camil has displayed some of his extra-job works in various exhibitions in Bucharest, Berlin and Paris, and has been invited to be member of the jury at Animotion Festival in Sibiu, Romania. You can see some of his photography works on Flickr or Behance, among others, or contact him on Facebook.
