Growing up in Ridgecrest CA, playing music and skateboarding have been major influences in my life as a designer. Writing songs, competing in skateboard competitions, and sketching in my notebook directed me toward my passion for design, where I discovered an industry where I could hybrid these interests.
Pursuing a career in graphic design, I moved to San Diego where I completed my Bachelors of Arts at the Art Institute in 2009. I learned all the components of designing and developing graphics in various media, refining the direction and style of my work. During my last year of college, I had the opportunity to gain some experience in the profession, designing spread layouts and skateboard decks. I was exposed to how a design firm operates at all levels of production and had the chance to learn from some of the most talented graphic designers in town. As I progressed in my career I became the "Sniper" of the T-shirt graphics world. Having experienced a high level of working at two very prestigious companies, I learned to take out any competition the market could throw at me.
Fundamentally rooted in music and skateboarding, my design philosophy is a fusion of developing influential graphics that impose a thought or reflection of current societal trends. Currently I freelance for various independent companies and continue to develop my graphic direction through conceptual projects, playing the guitar and skate sessions.
