Ashley Marnich was born in 1983 in Duluth Minnesota, located right alongside Lake Superior and a half hour north Two Harbors Minnesota where she grew up. Inspired by early Walt Disney cartoons, Jim Henson productions such as Fraggle Rock and the movie The Labyrinth, as well as artwork for JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit, Ashley started drawing at an early age.

Growing up, Ashley continued to progress her artistic skills by entering every art contest she could. Throughout her childhood she experimented with different kinds of art media such as copper wire sculpture, clay, plaster and even sewing. After a teacher introduced her to Prisma Color pencils at the age of 14, she adopted them as her primary way to create.

Once there, she worked extremely hard and gained not only knowledge in her major of illustration, but also gained resilience and a dedicated work ethic.

Ashley currently works as a freelance artist from her home studio in Duluth Minnesota. Recently she has received attention for her custom t-shirt and bike jersey designs as well as gallery work. She continues to challenge herself artistically, professionally and personally every day by “Thinking outside the Box” Read Less
