My name is Amar Joseph, everyone and their mother, including mine calls me AJ. I am a native San Diegan and lust-er (if that’s even a word) of creativity. This passion has led me to amazing opportunities over the last fifteen years of my career in several trades from film, video and motion graphics, to graphic design, print advertising, photography, flash design and animation. I have had several roles and positions ranging from graphic designer, editor, animator, to Principal of an interactive agency.

Over the past ten years I have held a creative leadership role at Macromedia, then post acquisition taken the reins as the Executive Creative Director at Adobe. I am fortunate enough to lead the Adobe Studio team, a team that is the culmination of a ton of hard work and passion and about seven years of my life.

The Studio, comprised of around thirty individuals are an amazing bunch of designers, art directors, creative directors, strategists, film makers, editors, and technologists who I proudly call family. Built like a boutique agency this group is responsible for the look, feel, and brand experience of Adobe’s product Identity, social, web, video, advertising and events.

Along with my love of being the lead creativist at Adobe and running the Studio design team is collaborating with diverse artists from around the world and developing concepts that live at the intersection of creativity and technology. This type of work has lead me to amazing ventures that have I have been fortunate to lead, but have also thankfully (everyone likes to be liked) been acknowledged with over a hundred industry awards. In the past couple, winning 9 industry awards for the first augmented reality music video, heartbreak warfare with John Mayer and Communication Arts Best Integrated Brand for the launch of CS6.
