Adam Barnum

Creative Director

New York, NY, USA
My name is Adam Barnum and I'm a Creative Director in Manhattan, New York. In 2005, I earned a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts, with a major in interactive media and a focus in motion graphics. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to have learned from some of the industry's leading entrepreneurs. My experience as a Director ranges from building large scale streaming media services on a wide array of platforms, to leading developing start-ups into stronger markets. I have developed extensive experience in a range of different mediums, including web design, mobile UI, 3D modeling, video production, print and package design, information architecture, as well as user interface design for TV. Interactive mobile and web design are among my highest polished skills. My experience in mobile has given me the opportunity to provide creative direction to well recognized mobile executives.

As the Creative Director & Lead Designer at Thumbplay, a well known name in mobile entertainment, my responsibilities included design direction for mobile and web products, user interface design, conceptualizing and preparing new products for launch. Prior to Thumbplay, I worked as Senior Designer for Hachette Fillipacchi's LANA mobile group. During that time, I also freelanced for a number of interactive agencies including Ogilvy & Mather and Mammoth Advertising.

The larger part of my career is, and always has been, focused on building loyalty and vast experience across up and coming technologies and industries. I have a very strong work ethic and believe in continually improving my skills and abilities. Most of my free time is spent dwelling on design and scouring related material, which I find to be a key characteristic in staying on top of this increasingly expansive & creative industry.
