My name is Befekadu Abi Girma Tsigie. I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia! My interest in Black and White photography started when I was experimenting with my father's Zenit m3 camera at an early age. I earned a B.A. degree in Photography and Ceramics from Goshen College in 2012.
I own Ras Studio, which is located in the Goshen Art Center, a community art center for Goshen and the surrounding Michiana area. My studio primarily focuses on fine art photography. Outside of studio hours I work as a freelance photographer specializing in reportage, event, and portrait photography. I was also introduced to ceramic art through a great mentor Merrill Krabill, who influenced me greatly to investigate art making and journalism in depth. Read Less
