Short Bio
Ruben Malayan is a graphic designer, photographer & art director born (1971) in Yerevan, Armenia and currently residing in Tel Aviv, Israel. Famous for portraiture, photography and graphic design Ruben Malayan is a distinguished art director with a rich history of graphic design and television production. His career spans over 12 years and includes extensive experience in virtually all types of media production including broadcast animation and camera work. He has a degree in Fine Arts and since 1990 has participated in annual exhibitions at the Union of Armenian Artists and the Institute of Fine Arts in Yerevan, Armenia. Ruben Malayan is a founder of the "Armenian Genocide in Contemporary Graphic & Art Posters" project which has received wide coverage and acclaim in the international press, with posters published in number of books and magazines worldwide. For the past several years, he has been working on research about the art of specialized scripts, and has developed a portfolio of unique stylized Armenian calligraphy.
