Concert took place in Solvay Center for Contemporary Art in Kraków on 13.03.2022
The anxiety of February 2022 in Poland mobilized many artists, who tried to take any initiative for cheering and welcoming the refugees fleeting from Ukraine. This visuals was made quickly - in one day as the concert was supposed to be in few days.
You are seeing the mixture of recordings of water in my bathtube and color manipulations and processing in postproduction. The recordings of feelings we all felt that time.
A word from the composer, Piotr Madej:
'On February 24, 2022, while driving the tram in the morning, I saw several young people talking in hushed voices on their phones. Many young people from Ukraine live and work in Krakow. There was a feeling of tension and anxiety, but also great sadness. The girl who was sitting in front of me for a long time couldn't get a call. When she finally succeeded, she said something in Ukrainian that sounded like "How's there, calm?" She listened to the answer in silence for a long time. As she got up to leave, I noticed that she was wiping away tears from her face. The faces of friends and acquaintances appeared before my eyes. I wanted them to be safe.'
